How to Make Roasted Tomatoes

What You’ll Need

  • Tomatoes
  • Cutting board
  • Chef’s knife
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to Make Roasted Tomatoes

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Slice 3 pounds of ripe plum tomatoes in half and gently remove the seeds.
  3. Place cut-side up on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roast 40–45 minutes, until tomatoes begin to caramelize.
  5. Let cool and enjoy!

Tip: You can keep roasted tomatoes in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to five days, or in the freezer for up to six months.

How to Use Roasted Tomatoes

  • Dress up a main dish: Whether it’s chicken, pork or fish, roasted tomatoes make a fresh flavor complement.
