A luscious entry of toasted hazelnut and mandarin is balanced by bright acidity and minerality, along with inviting aromas of lychee, stone fruit, citrus, apple pie and peach. The finish is bright, rich and creamy with flavors of lemon zest and caramelized sugar. The Prisoner Wine Company takes an unconventional approach to winemaking by working with impassioned growers to source varietals from vineyards and appellations across California. The resulting wines are interesting blends with distinct quality and character. This Blindfold California white wine sources chenin blanc from a vineyard in Mendocino, while its grenache blanc, roussanne and viognier originate from growers in Santa Barbara.
