Gorgonzola Bacon Burgers

Ingredients:

  • (4) 8-ounce burger patties
  • 8 strips crisp, cooked bacon
  • 1 cup Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola Crumbles
  • 4 toasted hamburger buns
  • 4 leaves of green leaf lettuce
  • 8 tomato slices
  • 4 thick slices of red onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  • Preheat the grill to high heat (450° to 550°).
  • Season the burger patties on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Place the burgers directly on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side or until dark grill marks have formed and the desired internal temperature is achieved.
  • Remove the burgers and place them on a cookie sheet tray. Top each burger off with 2 strips of cooked crisp bacon and ¼ cup of Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola Crumbles. Repeat the process with the other 3 burgers.
  • Place the sheet tray on the middle rack of the oven and broil on high heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until the cheese is lightly browned and melted.
  • To serve: layer on the leaf lettuce, 2 slices of tomatoes, 1 slice of red onion to the bottom of a toasted bun. Place the burger on top, and then serve with the top toasted bun. Repeat the process with the other 3 burgers.

  • 1 pound cooked ground beef
  • 1 cup Treasure Cave® Blue Cheese, wedge
  • 1 cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup french fries or potatoes
  • 2 small heads romaine lettuce, roughly chopped
  • 1½ cups cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup pickle chips plus more to taste

Directions:

  • Divide ingredients and spread chopped lettuce, ground beef, potatoes, tomatoes, red onion and pickles into desired bowl.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add sliced Treasure Cave® Blue Cheese wedge on top.
  • Drizzle your favorite condiments over top of burger bowls and serve immediately.
